Equality, Equity & Inclusion Disrupter

As a Black, African, Gay man, I want Inclusion to be a right and not a privilege for a select few. For people not to be tolerated as being different, but accepted. We live in a diverse world and we can learn so much from each other. I can empathise with marginalised groups, having being a part of one all my life, and learning how to steer myself in the workplace to 'fit in'. What I am most passionate about achieving, is that the workplace is a place everyone can thrive and it is not a place any marginalised group feels they should dim their light.
People matter, and we should all have equal opportunities to develop, progress, be rewarded and recognised at work.
On my journey throughout my career, it was not always something that I necessarily felt. I am pushing for change, to see more diversity in organisations, including leadership at board level. It is so important that companies represent the world they serve, especially now that businesses are shaping the world we live in.
